The Glanz RT-16 radio synchronizer, consisting of a receiver and a transmitter, is designed to organize wireless activation of studio flashes at a distance of no more than 30 meters within line of sight.
The transmitter is mounted on the camera's “hot shoe” and fixed with a clamping ring. In case the “hot shoe” is not present, the transmitter is connected to the camera with a cable using the PC port. On the transmitter housing there is an alarm LED and a button for testing the connection to the receiver. At the bottom of the transmitter there is a switching block for operating channels. On the left side of the transmitter is a 3.5 mm jack for connecting the PC cable that comes with the package. The transmitter is supplied with a 23A 12V battery. To replace it, you need to disassemble the case by removing the screw in the bottom of the case. Replace the battery with a proper polarity.
The receiver has a rectangular case with a channel switch block located on the front, an On / Off switch and an LED indicator. In the rear part of the receiver there is a compartment with a cover for 2 AAA batteries serving as the receiver power. From the receiver body comes a cable to connect to a studio flash with a 3.5 mm jack on the end. For connection to flares with a jack under 6.35 mm, the adapter, which comes in the kit, is used.
After installing the transmitter and receiver, as well as selecting the desired work channel from 16 possible, the radio synchronizer is ready for operation.
An important requirement for studio flashes is the presence of 3.5 mm TRS or 1/4 “TRS (6.35 mm) connectors.
