A locking mechanism allows the hood to slide down and out of the way when not in use or when lens is stored. This means the hood can remain permanently fixed to the lens without becoming an obstacle. This hood is available as a replacement or spare for the one included with the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO Lens.
