Sony’s RX-100 family of cameras offers an amazing line-up that has been improving from one generation to the next to become outstanding pieces of engineering in sleek pocket-sized bodies. The RX-100 VI continues this trend and builds upon the advances in speed to offer something completely new, a 24-200mm lens.

Brilliant for sports and wildlife

A new addition for this model is in body stabilisation which is invaluable when using longer focal length lenses. If you weren’t blown away by its predecessors autofocus performance I’m sure you will be by this camera, which can lock on in an even more incredible 0.03 of a second and can track objects with precision.

The ability to shoot at 1/32,000 of a second and perform continuous shooting for up to 233 shots, at a blistering 24 frames per second, should mean that you can capture all of the best moments.

Improved video capabilities

As before, video recording is breathtaking but there are a couple of things that help take it to the next level. A new touch sensitive LCD screen allows you to readily pull focus and improvements in the processor’s speed means that the RX-100 VI can even capture 4K HDR Video.

Viewing options

As before, the XGA electronic viewfinder, with nearly 2,400 dots is fantastic for harsh Australian sunlight. It also means that you can hold the camera rock steadily against your eye to minimise camera movement when the lighting situations demand it.

The bright LCD screen tilts upwards 180 degrees so it’s fantastic for group shots (especially when using Sony apps for remote shooting) and selfies.

Communication

The RX-100 VI comes equipped with Wi-Fi and NFC, allowing for easy communication with other devices and sharing of photos. Additionally, Sony apps allow you to remotely control the camera settings, take the shot, edit photos and apply special effects before effortlessly sharing your creations.
