Sony have extended their family of full frame lenses with a very useful stabilised mid-range zoom, the FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS. It’s a great all-round lens and would be fantastic for travel.
Image quality
This lens is sharp from corner to corner throughout the zoom range. It contains 17 elements in 14 groups, three of which are Extra low Dispersion lenses and also four Aspherical lenses. These combine to counteract the typical aberrations found in lenses.
Great for stills and movies
The constant f/4.0 aperture combined with minimal focus breathing, great optical stabilisation, a fast, precise and near silent focusing system make it ideal for both stills and movies. As you’d expect, it is compact and light. Additionally, this lens is dust and moisture resistant.
