The head smoothly rotates 360°, its fluid panning range is -65° to 90°, and each movement secures into position with its independent locking knobs. The magnesium- and aluminum-constructed 1.3 lb head has a height of 3.5″, and it has a removable pan handle, which has a foam grip. Additionally, the Arca-type head includes a quick release plate with a 3/8″-16 mounting thread.
